Onsite Volunteer, Abby Sheeler

I became a part of 4 Paws for Ability in 2015 by becoming a volunteer trainer. Through the years, I raised 7 service dogs in training, interned with 4 Paws for Ability, spent a summer working at 4 Paws for Ability, became a guardian home for a breeder, and spent countless hours volunteering at my “happy place”— 4 Paws for Ability.

I live in Lexington, KY but try to make the trip to 4 Paws as much as I can to volunteer! My favorite part is seeing the puppies, and then following their journeys on social media as they grow up! I call 4 Paws my happy place, because it truly is. The second I step in the building, all of my worries go away. From the friendly, caring staff to meeting potentially life saving dogs, I enjoy every moment I spend at 4 Paws for Ability!
