Onsite Volunteer

Thank you for your interest in volunteering onsite at 4 Paws for Ability!

What Volunteers Do:

As a nonprofit organization, we depend heavily on volunteers. Volunteers socialize, exercise, and groom our service dogs in training. Click below to check out a complete list of volunteer opportunities.

General Information:

  • We allow all ages to volunteer at our facility. Anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
  • Volunteers are required to serve at least four hours a month for at least the next three months.
  • Volunteers are needed daily and can volunteer between the hours of 8am and 8pm.
  • There are three steps to become a volunteer: Attend an orientation, complete online training, and go through an onsite training.

Want to Volunteer?

All you need to do is click below to complete an application. Please complete an application for each person to reserve a seat at orientation, including a parent/guardian accompanying a child under 16 years old.

Are you a member of a company or group looking to help 4 Paws for Ability for a day?

Our Group Volunteer Program is designed for groups looking to help one time, for a few hours. This program is perfect for scouts, company volunteer days, college/high school service projects, or church groups looking to volunteer in their community. Group volunteer visits generally include a presentation about 4 Paws’ history and mission, a tour of the building, and service projects around the facility. There is limited dog interaction due to the absence of 4 Paws’ volunteer training in this program. Email the Director of Volunteer Engagement (volunteer@4pawsforability.org) to start planning!
