David is seven years old and has Autism and Dravet Syndrome. His family applied for a service dog in March 2020 so they could have some peace of mind and relief when it came to seizure alerting and detection.
Since David was getting older and wanting more independence, his family knew they needed a service dog to be able to accompany David when they were not in the room.
In August of this year, David received service dog Sniffles. David’s mother shares with us, “Sniffles and David already have amazing bond! David has always been in our bedroom due to severe seizures, and seizures occurring at night or during sleep. His seizures are now more controlled and with the help of Sniffles, we have felt confident with allowing him to move from our room and into his own bedroom for the first time in over seven years.”
